AI-Powered Agents in Development

I’m currently building several AI-driven tools that focus on key areas where people often feel stuck when trying to make a difference.

♻️ AI-Powered Waste Sorting & Recycling Guide

One of the biggest obstacles to proper recycling is confusion—which bin does this go in? Is this even recyclable? Many people want to dispose of waste correctly, but lack the information needed to do so.

This AI assistant:

  • Uses image recognition to scan waste items and determine if they should be recycled, composted, or trashed.

  • Provides location-based recycling center information, making it easier to find proper disposal sites.

  • Offers incentives or gamification to encourage eco-friendly behavior.

🚨 Emergency Response AI Assistant

Emergencies happen unexpectedly, and in high-stress situations, knowing what to do in real time can make all the difference. This AI agent is designed to guide users step-by-step through critical first-response actions.

Features:

  • Voice-activated or text-based real-time emergency guidance (e.g., CPR instructions, evacuation routes).

  • Automatic distress signaling that can share the user’s location with emergency contacts.

  • Integration with medical databases to provide first-aid assistance based on symptoms.

🌍 Climate Data & Advocacy AI

Many people want to do something about climate change, but don’t know where to start. This AI tool helps bridge the gap between awareness and action.

It works by:

  • Using satellite imagery and environmental data to track local pollution, deforestation, and climate trends.

  • Providing personalized action steps based on a user’s region and habits (e.g., reducing energy consumption, supporting policy initiatives).

  • Helping users engage with advocacy efforts by connecting them to petitions, lawmakers, and environmental organizations.

💼 AI-Powered Job Board for Impact Careers

Not all jobs are equally at risk of AI disruption. This AI-powered job board focuses on roles AI can’t replace—jobs in sustainability, policy, education, and community-driven initiatives.

Key features:

  • AI-driven job matching based on skills, interests, and mission-driven career goals.

  • Automated job application support, including resume optimization and AI-generated cover letters tailored to the position.

  • Mentorship & career resources for people looking to transition into impact-driven fields.

The Tech Behind It

To build these AI agents, I’m leveraging machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision, along with various APIs and open datasets.

Some of the key technologies include:

  • OpenAI’s GPT models for generating personalized recommendations and insights.

  • Computer vision libraries (TensorFlow, OpenCV) for image recognition in the Recycling AI Assistant.

  • Geospatial data & APIs for mapping climate trends in the Climate Advocacy AI.

  • Automated workflows & data scraping to keep the Job Board AI up to date.

These agents are still in development, but the goal is to release functional versions that anyone can use for free—because making an impact should be accessible, not complicated.

What’s Next?

I’m currently refining these AI agents, testing different models, and planning for user testing. In the coming months, I’ll be:

  • Releasing beta versions for feedback.

  • Open-sourcing some of the AI components for collaboration.

  • Integrating user-driven features to improve effectiveness.

I’m excited to keep building AI tools that make action easier, and I’d love to hear from people who want to get involved, test the prototypes, or contribute ideas.

If you’re interested in AI for impact, feel free to reach out or sign up to test the Agents of Change when they launch!
